The Collection Kit is a ready-to-use product that is intended for the collection and temporary preservation of clinical specimens containing viruses and bacteria and transporting them from the collection site to the testing laboratory. The transport vial with stabilization solution can be processed using standard clinical laboratory operating procedures for molecular assay testing of specimens that possibly contain infectious agents.
Clean hands before sampling. Tear open the package and remove the swab. Be careful not to touch the swab head.
Patient samples should be collected according to the U.S. C.D.C. and W.H.O. recommendations for collecting and testing human respiratory samples.
After sampling, put the swab into the tube containing the preservative solution, avoiding contact with other parts.
Break the swab tip, discard the stick, and recap the tube containing the sample.
